Location. The 19th century School House Hotel is located in central Dublin, Ireland. The hotel is within 500 metres of Grafton Street's shops, Trinity College, and the National Gallery. Dublin International Airport (DUB) is 15 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The School House Hotel occupies a former school house, St Stephen's Parochial School, originally built in 1869. Today, it is surrounded by lawns and flowerbeds.

Appropriately, Canteen is the School House Hotel's restaurant, set in a former classroom with high beamed ceilings, long windows and wooden floors. It serves a complimentary cooked to order breakfast and modern Irish dishes with a Thai influence. The popular bar is located in another classroom, and offers food and drinks all day.

Getting there. Number 747 and 748 Airlink buses connect the airport to Dublin city centre, and depart every 15 minutes. Tickets can be bought from the driver and the single fare is about 5 EUR. A 24 hour service to central Dublin and Dublin South is offered by Aircoach. Local bus services regularly depart from the arrivals terminal, connecting to destinations throughout the city and its suburbs. Taxis cost about 18 EUR 20 EUR to the city centre. Getting around. The School House Hotel is in central Dublin. Dublin city centre and Temple Bar's cobbled streets can easily be explored on foot. Dublin's extensive double decker bus system and tram network operate throughout the city and the suburbs. Taxis are available at ranks, and can also be hailed on the street. Parking in the city centre is limited and expensive, but a car is recommended for exploring further afield. There is parking at the hotel (surcharge).
